Accessibility Statement

We want everyone to enjoy the stories on Crete Island – The Ultimate Travel Guide. This website is built and maintained with accessibility in mind and strives to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.

Measures taken

• Semantic HTML5 structure with clear headings, landmarks and a single <main> per page.
• A visible "Skip to content" link for keyboard users.
• Colour palette designed for sufficient contrast between text and background.
• Fully responsive layout usable on phones, tablets and desktops.
• All content images require alt text in the editor; decorative graphics use empty alt attributes.
• Fluid typography and lazy-loaded images with defined width/height to avoid layout shifts.
• Navigation, forms and buttons are operable with keyboard only.

Known limitations

Individual older posts may still contain images without alt text or embedded content that is not fully accessible. We work continuously to fix such issues.
